Chairman of the Advisory Board of Vini Mini: Mr. Dr. Ruurd van Elburg

We are very proud to announce that Mr. Dr. Ruurd van Elburg , Professor Early Life Nutrition at the Amsterdam University Medical Center , will join the Vini Mini team as Chairman of the Advisory Board.

Ruurd has dedicated his entire professional life to the first 1000 days of a child. During his PhD research in Groningen he did research on food allergy.

He trained as a pediatrician at the UMCG Groningen and, in addition to his work experience as a pediatric neonatologist at the VUmc, he also worked at Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition in the role of Chief Scientific Officer, where he conducted research into nutritional innovations for children.

He was also associate professor of pediatrics at VUmc and is a visiting researcher at Utrecht University.

Ruurd has published extensively in various journals in the fields of nutrition, gastroenterology and pediatrics, including the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Gut, Pediatrics and Journal of Pediatrics .

He has previously received the NESPEN (Netherlands Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition) Award and a Travel Award from the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Together we want to realize Vini Mini's mission to contribute to a healthy, happy & carefree life for (expectant) mothers and their Mini during the first 1000 days.
