Chairman of the Advisory Board Vini Mini: Mr. dr. Ruurd van Elburg

We are very proud to share that mr. dr. Ruurd van Elburg, Professor Early Life Nutrition at the Amsterdam University Medical Centrum, the team of Vini Mini joins as chairman of the Advisory Board.

Ruurd has devoted his entire professional life to the first 1000 days of a child. During his PhD research in Groningen he conducted research into food allergies.

He was trained as a pediatrician at the UMCG Groningen and, in addition to his work experience, as a pediatrician neonatologist at the VUmc also worked at Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition in the role of Chief Scientific Officer, where he researched nutritional innovations for children.

He was also associate professor of pediatrics at VUmc and is guest researcher at Utrecht University.

Ruurd has numerous publications in various professional journals in the field of nutrition, gastroenterology and pediatrics to his credit, including in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Gut, Pediatrics en Journal of Pediatrics.

He has been a recipient of the NESPEN (Netherlands Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition) Award and received a Travel Award from the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Together we want to realize Vini Mini's mission to contribute to a healthy, happy & carefree life for (expectant) mothers and their Mini during the first 1000 days.
